For more than 25 years, Mitch has focused on financial planning in the Dallas area and is the author of published articles in trade journals. In 2013 – 2020 Mitch was recognized by Texas Monthly Magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager, in 2009 by Forbes as one of the leading wealth managers in Texas, and by WomenCertified in 2013 – 2022 with their Women’s Choice Award. Mitch is the founder of Fluent Financial and has more than 30 years of business and investment experience.

Mitch is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ Practitioner and earned a BBA in Finance from Texas Tech University and an MBA with an emphasis on Strategic Planning from the University of Texas at Dallas. Mitch is also a member of the Rawls Advisory Council for the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business.

Mitch is an active member of Watermark Church in Dallas, an avid fan of Formula One auto racing, and also enjoys reading, scuba diving, road racing, and racing instruction, and playing golf and tennis with his wife, Candice. Their house is run by their Great Dane, Indigo.

Behavioral Finance

Mitch has attended numerous courses on behavioral finance taught by leaders from Harvard, Yale, MIT, and institutional money managers. Mitch’s practical experience in behavioral finance includes helping clients understand the potential hazards of reacting emotionally to down markets, as well as being the calming influence in times of family crisis such as death or divorce. Understanding the impact of your emotions in decision-making is critical. Mitch is well prepared to guide you through the current economic conditions and can help you focus on making fact-based (versus emotional) decisions. The best financial decisions are often counterintuitive.

Award based on 10 objective criteria associated with providing quality services to clients. Objectives include credentials, experience, and assets under management among other factors. Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or placed on the final list of 2013 – 2022 Five Star Wealth Managers.

Forbes Leading Wealth Manager

The 2009 Forbes Leading Wealth Managers of Texas is awarded based on the following criteria: fee only or fee-based practice, RIA or IAR status, no unresolved lawsuits or grievances, advanced certification, comprehensive financial planning services offered and 15+ years of industry experience.

The Women’s Choice Award

The Women’s Choice Award ® by WomenCertified, Inc. is a recognition award for advisors who provided quality service to their female clients. The Award is based on 17 objective criteria associated with providing quality service to women clients such as credentials, experience and a favorable regulatory history. Financial advisors may have paid a basic program fee to cover the cost of comprehensive review and client survey.
